Our approach
Responsible mining is the guiding principle behind the development of the San Juan Project. It is not only about complying with existing regulations, but about integrating responsibility into every stage of the project — from planning and operational design to environmental management, workplace safety, and engagement with local communities.

We start from a clear premise: all human activity has an impact, and responsibility lies in how that impact is managed, minimised, and communicated with full transparency. For this reason, the project is developed with a preventive and long-term approach, applying modern technology, continuous environmental monitoring, and strict health and safety standards.
“Responsible mining is not defined only by the rules we follow, but by how we manage impacts, how we listen to our surroundings, and how we build trust over time.”
Agne Ahlenius, Managing Director, Tungsten San Juan
Trust is a fundamental element of this approach. We believe that mining projects are stronger when they are based on open dialogue with communities, authorities, and stakeholders — listening to concerns, sharing information, and fostering long-term collaborative relationships.
Our objective is to demonstrate that responsible mining projects can be developed in Europe, creating value for the local area while contributing to the supply of strategic raw materials needed for the continent’s industrial and technological development.
